Choir Holiday Concert Performance Information

The Iron Choirs Holiday Concert will be held on Thursday, December 12 at 7:00 pm in the NCHS Auditoirum. 

Required Dress Rehearsal:
Wednesday, Dec. 11, 3:30 - 5:00 pm. We are usually done before 5 pm, but will not go past this time.

Call times for students:
-Court Singers: 6:15 pm, stage
-Treble Choir & Men's Choir: 6:30 pm, Room 52
-Chamber Chorale: 6:40 pm, Choir Room
-Women's Chorale: 6:40 pm, Orchestra Room
-Chamber Singers: 6:40 pm, Green Room

Uniform:
All students wear tuxes / dresses / robes. Madrigals and Court Singers will NOT wear their costumes.

Spaghetti Supper Performance Info

Info for the annual U5 Music Parents Spaghetti Supper performance:

Date: Monday, November 11
Call Time: 7:30 pm, Room 52
Performance Time: 8:05 pm, Auditorium
Uniform: Jeans and your black choir shirt (can be t-shirt, crew, or hoodie - just as long as it's our black shirt with the block letter design). If you do not have a choir shirt, you need to wear a plain black shirt. Any kind of shoe is fine.

Spaghetti Dinner: In the Cafeteria from 5:00-7:30 pm.

Looking forward to a fun evening - our theme is Disney songs!  We will be performing favorites from Moana, Brave, Hercules, Tangled, The Little Mermaid, and High School Musical!

Spaghetti Supper Ticket Forms Due Friday!

Forms for Spaghetti Supper tickets are due this Friday, November 1!  Students should bring in this form and a check or cash (payable to U5 Music Parents) and they will be given tickets. Tickets are $8 for spaghetti, $13 for gluten-free.  Only 150 tickets will be sold at the door, and they will be $10. Don't forget!

The Canada Trip is ON!

Students and parents were sent an email on the evening of October 21 with information on our trip to Toronto, which IS HAPPENING!  Please click here for a copy of that email with all the pertinent information on how to sign up, make your down payments, and information on fundraisers that are coming up in two weeks! Get Excited! We're going to Canada!!

Choir Spirit Wear Now Available!

The NCHS Choir spirit wear store is now open through September 19! I am asking for all choir students who perform in the Spaghetti Supper (everyone besides Chamber Singers) have at least one shirt with design A. We will wear those for our performance at that concert - it doesn't matter what type of shirt it is (t-shirt, hoodie, etc), as long as it is with Design A (black shirt with block letters).

All ordering and payment is done online, and the shirts will be delivered to the school approximately 3 weeks after the end of the sale.

Spirit wear is available to anyone interested! We'd love to see NCHS Iron Choirs gear all over town!

Court Singers Audition Results

Thank you to all who auditioned for Court Singers. We had quite competitive auditions, and you all did very well, which makes decision-making a huge challenge. Congratulations to our 2019-2020 Court Singers! First rehearsal is this Wednesday, September 4, 3:30-5:30 pm in the Choir Room.

• Jazz Night:  May 3, Auditorium...featuring Key of She, Voice Male, and a newly-formed Jazz Choir! Free admission!

• Spring Concert: May 7, 7:00 pm, Auditorium 
• Choir Dessert Banquet / Senior Spotlight Concert:  May 10, 7:00 pm, Cafeteria

Don't Miss Shrek the Musical - This Weekend Only!

Don't miss Shrek the Musical this weekend in the NCHS Auditorium! The students have worked very hard and you will be entertained! It's a really fun show with great original music.  Tickets are available at the door beginning 45 minutes prior to each performance.  Tickets are $8 for reserved seating (front half of the auditorium), and $7 adults / $5 students for general seating (back half of auditorium).  Performance dates and times are the following:

Thursday, April 11 at 7:00 pm
Friday, April 12 at 7:00 pm
Saturday, April 13 at 2:00 pm AND 7:00 pm
Sunday, April 14 at 2:00 pm

Unit 5 Choral Showcase Information

The Unit 5 Choral Showcase is this Thursday, March 14 at 6:30 pm in the Gymnasium at Normal WEST High School.  Please click here for information on this event.  We are looking forward to collaborating with the Normal West Choirs and all of our junior high singers!
